Cassidy Skillman (b. 1997) is an interdisciplinary artist from the San Francisco Bay Area based in Chicago. Skillman’s artwork illustrates social commentaries that reflects her interests in cultural, ecological and environmental consciousness. She utilizes research, storytelling and story building, applying her extensive studio education to create an expansive range of work. Skillman’s work has been exhibited in locations such as the de Young Museum in San Francisco, the Mary Porter Sesnon Gallery in Santa Cruz, and Co-Prosperity in Chicago. She received her MFA in Studio, with a concentration in Printmedia and Sculpture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023. In 2021, Skillman received a BA in Studio Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz after transferring from Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA. Skillman is currently on the Board of Directors for the California Society of Printmakers as the Director of Social Media.
